You know when you find a fly in your soup, you don’t really feel like eating soup again anytime soon, if ever? So is the case with HGTV’s new show “24 Hour Design”. The concept is fine, 10 hours to redo a room . It’s been done before, & better, but that isn’t enough to turn my stomach. The fly in the soup is the designer Angelo Surmelis. He’s cute, his designs are pretty good, & he interacts well with everyone else & has great energy. The catch: he used to be on a show called “Clean Sweep” which was the bane of the decorating show world. So maybe “Clean Sweep” is the real fly in the soup. Either way, “24 Hour Design” makes me sick to my stomach.
