Christmas in Utah: 7-8 months of snow

Hi, come inside. Our wreath is on the inside of the door so the squirrels/rabbits/deer/frost/snow don’t get at it.  Plus, I’m rarely outside to look at it because of all the squirrels/rabbits/deer/frost/snow, so this way I get to enjoy it more.

I was going to take a picture of our big Christmas tree, but the lights were on it & it just looked like a Christmas tree blob.  This is our angel tree.  Every year we buy or make an angel ornament in memory of my sister who passed away.  The garlands are my grandma’s necklaces & it is decorated with brooches from both of my grandmas & my great grandma.

We got this nativity scene at Dillards for $9.99 a few years ago.  That makes me happy.

This is our Christmas village.  Each year we add a new piece that we paint together.  Next year we will have to build a bigger fireplace.

I also was going to get a picture of the Christmas lights at night.  However, again there was a problem with the blob.  Luckily, nature decorates for us.  Unfortunately, nature decorates for us from September until April.

Come back inside before your catch your death & have some wassil.  I don’t cook a lot, but I do try to con people into making me wassil whenever possible. Happy Holidays!

  13. Ah, a real-live white Christmas. What must that be like? It’s usually 60 and sunny where I live. :-) Your nativity scene is beautiful…and I think that view off of your deck is one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen.

    Merry Christmas!

  17. Your decorations are beautiful! But nature’s decorations literally took my breath…we’re in Florida, so there’s not much chance of seeing any snow. I might not want it from Sep – Apr, but December 24 wouldn’t be bad! Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas!!!

  18. Good idea about the wreath on the inside of the door. Love all that snow. Wish we were getting some of that.

    Merry Christmas.

  19. Your wreath is so pretty and I love the angle on the top of your tree! I wish we had beautiful snow like that here in Texas! Thank you for the tour and Merry Christmas!

  20. Thank you so much for opening your home to us, I so enjoyed the tour! I love your wreath, it’s just gorgeous! I thought the idea of the angel tree in memory of your sister was such a precious one. Wonderful snow scene…living in Northern Ontario, I know what it’s like to have snow for 8 months of the year! lol Funny enough, though, right now we have no snow on the ground at all which is very unusual for us at this time of year…we may have our first green Christmas in many years!!! Merry Christmas to you & yours! xox

  21. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home! I’m not sure I’d love all that snow, even at Christmas time, but the view out your back yard is just absolutely breathtaking. My husband and I both dream of having a view like that one day! Thanks, too, for stopping by The Laundry Alternative and for your sweet words! It was great having you tour my home, too!

    Blessings and Merry Christmas!
