One of the biggest ways to change a room for the least amount of money is color. However, there is so much conflicting advice, dark cools make a space look smaller, no they make it look bigger. So I decided to start my own series on color, where I would use certain colors, where I would avoid them, & what they mean to me. Hopefully this will put the matter to rest once & for all because I’m Sarakastic, & as such, I am always right. Please leave your comments letting me know if you agree or disagree with me & how you feel about certain colors.

What color does to a room is controversial, because whether your room looks “smaller” or “larger” is not dependent on paint color alone. There are many other factors such as lighting and accessories (you can check out my blog post on small room decorating. In general, I think lighter colors give a room a larger appearance.
