It all started because we wanted to get rid of the shower doors. They were practically falling off the track & couldn’t be repaired. So, we went & bought this white shower curtain for $20 at Walmart. We used pretty shower curtain rings from the Martha Stewart line that I had found at the dollar store awhile ago & had bought because they were a good price. Then it was time for demo. It wasn’t actual demo, but I like to call it that, because demo sounds like a lot of fun. So we took out the shower doors, & the top of the frame. We left the frame there for now because I wasn’t sure how much caulking we would have to do & I didn’t want to inadvertently cause water damage. Then it was time to hang the rod & hang the curtain. It cost about $30 for everything & was well worth it.

I’ll admit it, I love candles, but I’m scared to use them. Yes, I’m scared of traditional candles. When they are light, I constantly watch to make sure my hair, clothes, or anything around the candles is safe from starting a fire. That’s why I was so excited when I saw Battery Operated Candles. These candles would be great to have for emergencies, like a power outage because they run on battery. They even have tea lights & tapers. The candles fluctuate to mimic real candles, the pillar candles even come with a wick! Plus, they have fragrances, just like real candles. There are even color changing candles, I’d like to see a traditional candle do that.
My favorite product has to be the wall sconces. I love wall sconces, I have several, but I’ve never light a candle on them because once again, I’m scared. These are gorgeous & safe! They are everything good about candles, with none of the drawbacks.

I inadvertently pulled a "Trading Spaces". Well technically I didn’t trade spaces, or spend a $1000, & no neighbors were involved. However, my mom & I redid the bathroom in a day, for less than $50. It was one of those projects that just snowballed into something completely different. It was a lot of work, but I am very happy with the results. Don’t worry, I have pictures & instructions on how to do each project.

Most men I know will not go in a Target store with a girl between the ages of 12-80. Target is this wondrous black hole, where I lose track of all time. I really love exploring all of their home furnishings & decorative items. The products don’t look like they came from Target, & it’s so nice to be able to buy something that looks high end that I can afford. It seems like every time they go to a superstore on a decorating show, it is Target. I usually recognize whatever they are buying because I recently saw it at the store myself. This way I can get the same home accessories that are on TV. Trust me, it’s where all the good stuff is. The great thing about shopping at Target online is the coupon codes. They have some really neat coupons for free shipping & 10% off. That way you can spend as long as you want shopping & browsing through all the cool merchandise & spend less than if you were at the store.

One of my favorite couches of all time is the couch on "Mad about you". They bought this on an episode called "Sofa’s Choice". Then they kept it for the rest of the show. I couldn’t find a picture of it anywhere. It’s just quizzical to me that I like this couch, & that I have liked it for the 10 years since it first made it’s presence known. I like it as much today as I did when I first saw it. It has two fabrics on it, a plaid & a floral. I like it even though the shabby chic look has gone out. I’m so in love with this love seat that I’d much rather have a shot of it than of most of the actors on the show. The couch really should’ve gotten it’s own spin off show, or they could’ve sold it to me. What is your favorite TV couch?
