For so many years in elementary school, Mother’s Day meant stringing macaroni onto yarn & then covering the necklace in glitter. Of course Mom loved it, because it took actual effort. I think grown ups tend to move away from this trend because they don’t think they are “crafty” or just don’t have the time. Instead they just pick up a present at the last minute, without thinking a lot about it, & doesn’t mom deserve better than that? I found some great ideas at HGTV like making a pillow with a photo on it, or even just arranging a bouquet of flowers. These projects are easy, inexpensive, & personal & will show your mom that you care enough to spend time & thought on a present. Plus, it’s fun & I’m sure that it will earn a place of honor in your mom’s house. It will also give her bragging rights. If all else fails, bring out the macaroni & glitter.
