To me, it seems like if you go to most stores that sell baby items there will be three or four choices for the nursery. If you don’t fit into one of those choices then you might feel like you don’t have many options. Honestly I think that most nurseries end up looking exactly the same. This is unfortunate for the following reasons:
-
The nursery often won’t fit in with the rest of the style of the house. Yes it is a special room but there should also be some continuity.
-
The parents will be spending most of the time in the new nursery. They will be the ones that really notice how it is decorated. So if they don’t like a precious moments theme or pastel colors then they are out of luck.
-
All new parents just have to make a guess as to what their child will be like.
-
It may be the only time that you will get your husband or significant other to paint the walls, so make sure it’s a color that you can all live with for a very long time.
It’s important to think outside the box, or the idea of a nursery in a bag & come up with a space that you love & that your baby will love, no pressure, no pressure. I’ve decided to come up with a few inexpensive nursery themes that are also unique in the next few weeks. If anyone has any requests for certain themes, please let me know.
