The Monet of Seafood

I was looking through my old art portfolio & discovered that I am unusually talented at painting seafood.  This is unusual because I don’t really like seafood, & I live in the desert so I usually can’t even find it at the grocery store. I would much rather be talented at landscapes or even portraits.  Nope.  I’m the Monet of seafood.  Don’t believe me?  Here’s a salmon I painted:

Here’s a crustacean.

Van Gogh had his sunflowers, & I have this. Yup, I’ve got really mad skills.  Maybe I can get a job working for the advertising & artistic rendering department at Red Lobster.

If only

My dad has been kicking himself for 25 years that he started to invest in an apple orchard instead of a startup apple computer corporation. We all have huge regrets like that, when hindsight shows us how we could’ve been millionaires. For instance, I wish that I would’ve bought a house in California ten years ago, sold it, then retired. Even if I would’ve done that three years ago, I would’ve been well off. However, if I would’ve done a year ago, I probably would’ve lost a lot of money.

Real Estate is usually a pretty safe investment, except for when it isn’t. This is something that I’m really interested in because I want to buy a house. However, I don’t know of any location that I want to live in long term, & my life is still pretty unstable. I want to have the option to sell, move, & make money when I do so. So I was looking at Home Move today. They provide information about the UK real estate market. It’s interesting to see how the US market & the UK market relate to each other & even effect each other. There’s great information here whether you are buying or selling a home in the UK. The site has an easy to use layout, & unlike a lot of other real estate sites, the articles are readable, interesting, varied, & useful. I think information is the key so that I don’t end up missing out on the apple computers of the real estate market.
