It’s interesting to see how decorating influences wedding choices. A few years ago, brown would’ve been unheard of for a wedding. People would’ve said "Umm the bride has offically lost it & is no longer capable of making any wedding plans". Now, it’s one of the most chic ideas anywhere, besides the fact that everyone loves chocolate Here are some reasons why chocolate brown makes a great wedding color.
- It balances out a more feminine palette, for instance it looks great with pink.
- It’s very dramatic & goes with everything. This means that technically you will need less decorations because wherever the brown is, will become a focal point, which means that you’ll save money.
- Extremely in vogue.
The bottom line is if you want to have a unique wedding but don’t know what you want, think about what you like in decorating & translate that into your big day.

I always thought that I couldn’t paint people. If I did try to paint people, I definitely couldn’t paint them in watercolors. No one could paint them in watercolors. I found a tutorial & ended up painting this person. I was surprised at how it turned out, not that it was actually good, but because I could actually make out the shape of a person. Granted, she ended up little heavier than I had intended. So, it is possible, as long as the painting is kept quite loose. Maybe, I’ll have to try again & see what the girl would look like after weight watchers.

A huge trend in decorating is Scandanavian furniture. It seems to always be popular, with its clean lines, & efficiency. Plus, it lasts forever. I’ve known several people that have brought it back from their travels & it’s still in style. It’s furniture that will last forever & it always looks good.
Norway has a whole different side to it though. You can check out the Viking Ship museum, or the National Art gallery. Plus, there are lots of fortresses & castles, which is perfect if you feel like you are a princess like me. I like it because it’s an unusual vacation, so you won’t have the same pictures/slides as all of your neighbors. It’s more affordable than you might think. Especially if you use Cheaper Than Hotels to find Cheap Hotels in Oslo. It’s a great site where you can sort by price, location & much more. It’s better than staying in a hostel because you get a room all to yourself & hotels are more centrally located. So get out there & find some great furniture, or at least bring back some cool slides of storming a castle.

When people try to get to know other people & they want to ask an unusual question, they usually go with "If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?". Hopefully, I will never have any cause to figure that out. However, I’ve had the house to myself & was able to cook anything I wanted all week, which means all of my favorite foods. It’s gone a little bit like this:
Blackened Chicken
Cheesecake Bars
Twice Baked Potatoes
Chinese Noodles
Macaroni & Cheese
Sherbet
Spinach Salad
It’s probably a good thing that I’m not left alone more often.

This is one of my favorite paintings & it’s one of my first watercolors. It doesn’t have a name, poor thing. I think I like it because of the simplicity of techniques. As I painted more, I worried about all the little details, but here the paint really speaks. Talking paint, scary huh?
I wish it had some great story behind it, like I was channeling the grief I felt when my dog was sick. However, I don’t remember when I painted, or even why. In fact, I’ve ever tried to recreate it on several occasions & it just doesn’t turn out the same. The lesson is here, sometimes it just works. Even though it’s a rare & fleeting thing at least when I paint, it makes all of the times when the paintings turn out "icky" worth it.
