I love watching decorating shows, where the homeowners are supposed to do the work. When it comes time to paint the walls, the designers & homeowners have these tiny brushes, almost artist size. It’s like a little kid showing up dressed in his dad’s suit jacket saying he is ready to go to work.
Mmhhhmm I’m sure that you are going to paint the room. It’s especially funny considering that these shows work on a time crunch. Where do they even get little itty bitty paint brushes? Do they just go to the Home Depot & say “I will take the most inefficient thing that you have”. Is it a matter of cuteness? So, my home improvement tip of the day is, when painting a wall, don’t use an artist’s brush.

I’m having one of those days when being a grown up is just not fun. All of the cleaning, gardening, cooking, working. I just want to resign as a grown up & go back to being a kid.
This probably isn’t the most responsible idea, but I miss being a kid. So today I took some time out to look at the webkinz site. This site has been featured in The New York Times, The Today Show & even The Wall Street Journal. The Cartoon Doll Emporium is the largest site for online “paper” dolls, with 800 dress up games. Webkinz are stuffed animals that you can play with in the virtual world.
I love this site because with summer, kids often get bored. This is a mess free activity. I had a blast creating cartoon dolls, great stress relief. It was a much needed break from the grown up world.
