I like things to be pretty. I like to decorate. I don’t like to organize. Yesterday, I was forced into it because I had lost a book. The next day, I lost a piece of paper that I needed. I’m now fairly convinced that both of these things never existed.
Soon, the floor was filled with every imaginable paper & I was forced into organization because I didn’t remember how to get everything back into the small space that it had come from. I ended up taking out an entire garbage bag of papers. The room feels a lot less claustrophobic, even though I didn’t know I was living with an unneeded mound of papers. I had meant to file these, but they just kept building up, one paper at a time. I’d like to think that my office will stay clean & I’ll just file as things come in, but it probably won’t get done until I am forced into organizing again.
