This picture isn’t in a home, it’s in a café. It’s not even current. However I like how spunky and affordable this eclectic style is. We first saw the idea to mismatch chairs and tables in bright colors on the TV show FRIENDS, we really had never seen it before. The FRIENDS were doing it, so everyone else gad to, & the idea just stuck around. I think the idea was so attractive because chairs are just so expensive & this enabled people to pick up chairs at a garage sale, or thrift store. They didn’t even need to have a lot of paint, they could just use whatever colors of paint they had. Now, it seems to look quite designer & I’ve seen it in high end stores.
This is still a great style if you’re just starting out. This is ideal for a dorm room with white walls, it will really liven the place up. Unfortunately, all of my dining room chairs match, but someday, I’ll try this out.
