My biggest decorating secret is probably cleaning. Shocking I know. Whenever I watch a show on how to sell your house, most of the time at least half of the work is cleaning. Even washing your windows makes a room feel brighter & bigger. I detest walking into a beautifully decorated home that is a mess, it leaves me thinking “What’s the point?”
However, I don’t always heed my own advice. I would say that my housekeeping style is clean-ish. Things are usually in their place. It’s just that I detest vacuuming because the vacuum is over ten years old & seems to weigh as much as I do. Plus, the vacuum has to be carried up two flights of stairs. However, when I do finally attempt this, it makes such a big difference. Even if I don’t think that the floor is dirty to begin with, everything in the room just looks a lot brighter & more put together.
