I have a pretty unique sense of style. So I was really surprised to see that the color palette of yellow & taupe has taken off. I’ve seen it on a lot of decorating shows, & I just bought a yellow & tan duvet cover. The first time I saw this color combination I thought it was a joke.
I really thought this was the case of a designer on TV making a mistake & not having enough time to redo the paint. It’s something that would happen to me. The thing about these colors is that they don’t really match. Taupe is relaxing, yellow is cheery & energizing. I think it’s just a passing fad, but I’ll enjoy it while it lasts because these colors are totally my style.
