Decorating Advice and Paint Colors

I think that it was Oprah who said a few years ago that everyone should have 400+ thread-count sheets. I thought, “Yes we should & we should also all live in palaces”. It’s true, I really should live in a palace, I’m a princess. I also remember an episode of “Newlyweds” where Jessica Simpson & Nick got in a fight because she spent way too much money on sheets while she claimed that they would make her sleep better.

Then the trend of high thread count sheets just soared, & suddenly we were seeing ridiculous sheets that were 1000 thread-count. I don’t even know how they fit that many threads in one space. I thought that this was simply a luxury that I couldn’t afford. For a long time I didn’t give in & just had my sheets that were about a whopping 14 thread-count. Finally this year I hit a good white sale where I got a pair of 400 thread-count sheets for $20. I was amazed at how much better I sleep. Oprah was right. Even Jessica Simpson was right & how many times do I get to say that?
