I actually don’t know what the term “Modern Luxury” means. To my knowledge, I just made it up. I had saved this picture awhile ago with the intention of writing about it. I named the picture “Modern Luxury”, so there you go, pass it on.
I think this picture teaches a great lesson on how to successfully put different textures in a room. (With the exception of the pink rug on the left, it really shouldn’t be there.) Here are a few tips if you want to try this.
- Have neutrals walls & flooring.
- Keep the rugs or fabrics within the same color palette. (Again, just pretend that the pink rug doesn’t exist).
- Keep the patterns somewhat muted.
This is a great way to make any home or apartment feel elegant. Modern Luxury at it’s best. (Minus the pink rug. I repeat minus the pink rug).
