I highly suspect that this is the way that HGTV choses & names it’s shows.
1. First they think of a cool title & then create a show around it. Even if the title is stupid. Even if the show shouldn’t be on TV. Case in point: Blog Cabin. Yes there is a show where they build a log cabin based on designs from a blog. I’m sure this idea was hatched because someone in the break room said “Log cabin? Isn’t that like a blog cabin?” It wasn’t funny then, & it isn’t funny now.
2. HGTV they love their puns. I’m sure that they do so many complete kitchen remodels just so they can say “We got rid of everything & the kitchen sink.”
3. Most of the rooms lately seem to be painted green just so they can joke about being environmentally friendly.
I love HGTV but I liked it a lot better before they got all punny.

Actually,I’d prefer the new one since using a pun, makes it more funny rather more witty. But that again is just a thought.

I must say, I love puns, but not when they’re too cheesy.

I’ve noticed HGTV just isn’t the same, too. Not only the puns but ‘reality remodeling’ where people compete for shows. What the heck is that all about?
