If I know I’m going to be single on Valentine’s Day I try to plan ahead just the same way I would if I was with someone. Then I’m not just trying to get the day over with. I usually buy myself a present. I know some people even order flowers online for themselves. At least then you get to pick the exact blossom you want and one that matches your decor. Plus, I can learn about the different symbolism of flowers but I don’t have to follow it. I don’t have to analyze what it means to a relationship. Instead, I can enjoy the flowers for what they are which is beautiful. I had no idea that poppies are an appropriate flower for funerals in many cultures.
