Halloween is every kids dreams, & a lot of parents worst nightmare. First you have to get the costume, then the candy, figure out how to keep them safe & warm, then worry about them all night, & pay for the dentists bills later. We live in the country, so houses are pretty far apart. My church does what we call a “trunk or treat”. Everyone comes & parks their cars in the parking lot & opens up their trunks, where they keep the candy. Then all of the kids go around to each car & go “trunk or treating”. It’s great because they get aren’t out in the cold for too long, don’t get too tired, you know everyone there & can keep an eye on them, but they still get to see their friends & wear their costumes, & get candy! Works for me!
Martha Stewart I am not
Martha Stewart is amazing. Sarakastic is also amazing, just not in a Martha Stewart kind of way. Sarakastic needs to spend less than nothing on craft projects, & have less than 5 steps in a project. Sarakastic also needs to talk about herself in the third person less. So here are some Halloween crafts from Martha, that I, I mean Sarakastic, could actually handle.
Martha makes even jack-o’-lanterns elegant but looking at them I don’ t know why I haven’t thought of it. I guess that is why she is Martha & I am not. Try a monogrammed, harlequin, or spiral jack-o’-lantern. These are even pretty enough to line your walk way or use as a centerpiece.
Eight no-sew Halloween costumes. Even shows how to making a jelly fish outfit from bubble wrap! Then there’s an adorable witch costume out of garbage bags.
Have the food be part of your decor with these great Halloween themed treats. Learn how to make monsters, vampire bats, & even a Cyclops out of cupcakes, marshmallows, or candy.
