We’ve had the same vacuum for about 15 years. It’s heavy. In a way this works to my advantage because I can say that I’m not strong enough to do housework. I was originally going to post a picture of the new pink vacuum we bought today but I’m not hearting it anymore.
Yes, in 2007 we finally got a bagless vacuum. It was so freeing. Then I realized that the would have to be replaced & they are probably more expensive & harder to find than the original vacuum bags. Le sigh.
For several years I’ve been wanting a red berry wreath. However:
Usually when I see a berry wreath I need to spend the money on Christmas presents.
They seem to never go out of style, so they are never on clearance.
Usually, when I want something I just ask to get it for a Christmas present. However, it just seems silly to open up a Christmas decoration on Christmas.
What holiday decoration have you always wanted?
For years we’ve been talking about how we need a new dining room table. However, we took a closer look at it. The stain is peeling, & the chairs are awful. However, the shape is perfect. It has several leafs so it can be virtually any size. Plus, it’s an oval with a simple base. The shape is exactly what I’ve been seeing on decorating shows. So my parents refinished it & it looks better than new. For less than $20 we have a new table. It’s a great lesson on how little changes can make a big difference.
I’m so codependant that I hate watching the reveals on design shows when the room is awful. My heart really goes out to the families that try to put on a brave face. Some examples of this are:
I had a great experience. I don’t even care about my room, everyone on the show was so nice.
It’s what we signed up for.
That’s different. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.
I’ll live with it for awhile & see how it feels.
Either way, you still have hay glued to your walls but at least you didn’t scream on national TV.
