Does anyone actually ever implement their Pinterest room designs? I see really great ideas that are usually just too astronomical for anyone to do like adding in a slide instead of a staircase. It sure would be fun though. However, in a way this site just makes me more dissatisfied with my home. It seems like everyone else gets to have so much cool stuff. Then I realize that most people are just like me and pinning ideas that they’ll never use. Does anyone actually get most of their Pinterest projects done?

Extreme Makeover Home Edition
I love this show because of the heart felt stories. However, I usually find myself with a sense of anxiety while watching it. The houses are just too extreme. I keep wondering how they will hold up in neighborhoods that aren’t the best. I also wonder how they’ll handle taxes and repair bills. Sometimes a company will donate some money for the extra expenses but it’s going to run out eventually. I always wonder how some of the first families on the show are holding up now that it’s been several years. Does anyone else think that some of these homes are just too extreme?

Nate Show Trends
I remember that last year there was a Nate Berkus show about the upcoming design trends for the next year. I really hope that they do this again. I was all set to tune in today. However, when I looked it up all I could find were reruns. Does anyone know if Nate is doing this show for 2012 and when it’s on?

Does It Even Exist?
No, I’m not talking about true love although I’d like to know that too. Instead, I’m wondering if there are any faucet finishes that don’t leave water spots. I think a brushed nickel might work or a deep iron color; nothing too shiny. All I know that it definately isn’t chrome. Does anyone out there know of any faucet finishes that don’t leave waterspots?

Douglas Wilson is a jerk
I would love to be posting about the new/old version of Trading Spaces. However, instead I have to post about how Douglas Wilson is a jerk. I was wondering about how they would bring Paige Davis back. Would they just act like she’d never been forced off the show? Would they just pretend that she’d been in the bathroom for years on end? From what I’ve seen of episode previews it seems like most of the designers are really glad to have Paige back. I think she brings some life & order back to the show. She says what the people at home are thinking “Should we really put 2,000 holes in the drywall?”
Doug seemed to keep making snide remarks last night. He said he wasn’t sure he was glad Paige was back because she always messed up the projects. He didn’t seem to be too happy to be talking to her at the reveal either. It could’ve been like a teasing thing, but it felt more like being a bully. Maybe he wanted her job. Either way, Douglas Wilson is a jerk. Did anyone else see this? What are your thoughts?
