Probably the biggest home decor trend for flooring for the last few years has been sheepskin rugs. They add modern style to any room. However, when I looked through the Comfy Sheepskin site I realized that there are many more ways to use this material in a variety of sheepskin products .
This isn’t just for home decor. There are custom sheepskin seat covers. I would love to try these in my car because the upholstery is stained and it’s not that comfortable either. New seat covers would definitely fix that. It takes a few days for these pieces to be made so it will fit your bucket seats exactly. I also didn’t know that there were so many color options available. Usually I just see it in white. I guess when a material becomes popular there are always innovators out there finding new ways to use it.

I’m looking for new art for my bathroom. I don’t even have any hung up in the rest of my home; but I’m already sick of the art that I do have and it’s only been three years. This is probably why I don’t have art in the rest of my home yet; I just can’t find anything that speaks to me. Maybe I’ll just have to break down and get a digital picture frame so I can have a constantly rotating display. There just doesn’t seem to be anything affordable that I want to look at every day. There are lots of things that match my décor but I know I’ll be sick of them in a few weeks. For me finding art that I can live with is one of the most difficult parts of decorating.

I’m not a fan of modern decor and usually I don’t notice anything on House except for Hugh Laurie. Well I do notice the gross parts where I have to look away all the time. I do think that he has a very modern office; the whole hospital is that way. There’s lots of polished wood, large artwork and stainless steel. While I don’t love the modern look I think this show does it the most successfully.

If I know I’m going to be single on Valentine’s Day I try to plan ahead just the same way I would if I was with someone. Then I’m not just trying to get the day over with. I usually buy myself a present. I know some people even order flowers online for themselves. At least then you get to pick the exact blossom you want and one that matches your decor. Serenataflowers.com had several sunflower arrangements. Most florists usually just have one or two. They have modern vases and traditional styles too.
Plus, I can learn about the different symbolism of flowers but I don’t have to follow it. I don’t have to analyze what it means to a relationship. Instead, I can enjoy the flowers for what they are which is beautiful. I had no idea that poppies are an appropriate flower for funerals in many cultures. With a lot of decor magazines I’m just used to seeing the same thing over and over. I was so excited to check out the site for the Real Homes magazine for a couple of reasons. First, it’s based in the United Kingdom so I see a totally different design perspective than what I’m used to in the United States. I’ve found a lot of the color palettes are the same. Some of the wording is different like they say holiday homes when I’d say vacation homes but all of the ideas are still applicable.
The other thing I love is the concept behind the magazine. It’s so simple but I haven’t seen anything like it before. Just like the title says these are real homes. There are stories of real people going through real renovation projects. Usually everything in design magazines is beyond my budget or diy skills. I also found out about some new products and got the answer to”why choose HomeAway?”. If you want a fresh take on design then check out Real Homes.
